Could the Boston Herald Be Any Worse?

The Herald is an embarrassment to Boston. It has lost any journalistic pretense it may once have had and descended to N.Y. Post-ian lows, seemingly to stay.

Here it goes after the Whitman police chief again, as if anyone outside of Whitman cared. I love this part, a lot like yesterday; notice the gratuitous disparagement in the first dependent clause:

[Chief Schnyer], who is under fire for allowing a convicted child molester to rent a home he owns and for improperly attaching a low-number license plate to his town-owned unmarked cruiser, claims he is owed some 420 unused vacation and personal days, which would cost the town hundreds of thousands of dollars.

They say he's under fire. By whom? By the Herald.

What a rag.
