Martha Stewart in Prison - Doing Well (But Still a Felon)

Friends say Martha Stewart is doing well in prison, looking better than she has in years - thin and well-rested.  It's a joke among some in her circle to ask, "How do I get sent to prison?"  Not that funny, really, because she may be doing well, but it's still prison.

The energy and drive that turned her Westport catering business into a half-billion dollar public corporation is still with her.  Denied prison jobs with the kitchen crew and the grounds crew, she got a gig with the cleaning crew.  She set herself to reorganizing the process and now the work gets done better in a fraction of the time.  She uses the extra time to read.

Friends say the reports are true - she hates the food.

I guess I'm glad she's doing well, but she could have avoided the whole thing if only she had told the truth.  Lesson learned, I hope.
