Boston Sunday Snowblogging II

The streets were mostly empty at 8 am in the Back Bay.  And it looks like the City is doing a good job with this storm.  I saw lots of plows like the one below, which I shot on Commonwealth.  The police were out, on routine patrol it seemed to me.  The MBTA had cleared the paths to the Green Line, although it doesn't look like it from this shot.  Notice that no one was waiting for the bus.  And is the library even open today?  When  I got cold, I went to Starbucks.  It was warm and quiet inside.  (As always, click for larger.)

Great photos. 165 years ago over the 22-24th of January in Boston there was a snowstorm as well--the Boston Almanac notes "good sleighing" on the 24th. Seems like such a pleasant way to pass the the time--I wonder how many will be out sleighing tomorrow?
