Creek Running North

Chris Clarke, who writes Creek Running North, is a gifted writer.  I stumbled across his work and mentioned it two weeks ago.  He's on a trip now, but will be back in May.  In the meantime, he left us with some "best of" posts here.  Read this one now.  I'm working my way through them and I am continually reminded that good writing is a gift, both to the reader and to the writer, though of course in different ways.  I still can't say much for his politics, but he's an interesting man, and his work is good.  Besides, imagine how dull life would be if you only read things you agreed with, or befriended people who see things your way.  I wish him well.
