Boston Likes Kelo, But I Sure Don't

City of Boston officials are publically expressing approval of the outrageous / unconscionable / nightmarish / vile / freedom-is-dead SCOTUS decision in Kelo:

BRA praised the decision in a statement: ''We do believe that this ruling affirms the importance of maintaining a strong planning and economic development agency to help create and implement the public vision for growth."

In other words, "the Supreme Court justified our salaries," said a BRA spokesman.  Let's shutter the BRA and vote out Michael Flaherty.

I read the "Remember the West End " article with much interest. The complete destruction of the West End is one of the things that helped pave the way for the debacle over court-mandated school busing that took place here in Boston during the mid-to late 1970's and lasted about a decade.
