Been There, Done That. How About Some Innovation, Carmakers?

Solstice_rightDodge has the Charger.  (UPDATE: I meant Challenger.)
Chevy, the Camaro.
Ford, the Mustang.  And the GT.
(Don't forget the Plymouth Prowler and the Chrysler PT Cruiser.)
Toyota has the FJ.
Now Lamborghini proposes the Miura (trial balloon).
Mini counts.
And VW may have started it.

Now, those are all good cars, or fun concepts.  But they're rip-offs.  OK, OK, call each "an homage" if you like.  The point is: no innovation.  New designs, new fuels, new sizes, new missions, new economy, or new fun.  It can be done.

I can't believe I'm going to write it, but praise Pontiac for this.  This isn't retro.  It's new.  And if Pontiac can do it....
