Martha Coakley v. Radley Balko

Martha Coakley, the Middlesex County District Attorney, is a woman for whom I no longer have any respect.  She is a pandering politician, not a principled champion of justice under law.  Well, she's in a war of words with Radley Balko, of Cato and the Agitator, on the topic of prescription drug abuse.

It's one of Balko's pet topics.  For my part, I think we waste unbelievable resources on the Drug War, and the prescription drug crackdown is part of that.

UPDATE: I welcome Agitator readers, and draw your attention to  this most recent news article on the Pring-Wilson case.  Note the tenor of the Assistant D.A.'s words about Pring-Wilson's pre-trial confinement.  This is an utterly political prosecution, in the most far-out, left-leaning city in all of Massachusetts.
