Did you know there's an online DeLorean parts store? (Who collects those things anyway? Ick.) Well, I didn't. Of course, there's a search function. Flux capacitors are about six grand. (HT: Erik)

I have a friend with one. She collects all sorts of oddities like an Aston Martin that was stretched to make a limo and one of the Dune Buggy's used in The Thomas Crown Affair with a Corvair engine and an original Mini along with abot 10 other cars.
The DeLorean gets a lot of attention at shows, but I think that has more to do with the film than with the actual vehicle. It is butt ugly.

I wonder if anyone has ever gotten into a DeLorean and NOT immediately gunned it to 88 mph. Just in case...

In truth, one does not so much "gun" a DeLorean as urge it along gently, wishing one were lighter and the road more steeply sloped.
