From the Boston Herald (best paper for local news) comes my favorite story of the day. It seems that one of the several police unions picketing alongside the Boston Police Patrolmen's Association (BPPA) was the Boston Police Detectives' Benevolent Society (BPDBS).
I incorporate here, here, here and here all my previous criticism of the police union(s) and extend it to the BPDBS.
What makes it a good story? That hypocritical, greedy, insular mob hired non-union labor to remodel its drinking hall. I mean, union hall.
They openly stated a preference for nepotism over union frateralism. That's fine with me. But it makes their cries of "scab" a little hard to take.
