I am very skeptical of claims of innocence by death row inmates, and I have no sympathy for cop-killers, but the story of convicted cop-killer Cory Maye is compelling. If the facts are as presented by Radley Balko, a grave injustice has been done to this man who sits on death row in Mississippi.
Read Balko on the subject, then make up your own mind.
If only the 350 cities and towns could find the same political will. We can break the back of the police unions here, if people don't chicken out.
