When we moved to Boston, I thought of getting a Segway for my commute, but the office isn't far enough away. It's about a mile, and I can use the exercise from walking. But there's some talk my firm might relocate farther away. I could see using one of these new ones to get there. But what do you do about the rain? Or the gym bag? Or the bottle of wine for dinner?
Some as*hole was riding it on the sidewalk the other day.
The sidewalk is already cluttered with double-wide baby strollers, tables, chairs, children on bicycles/skateboards/rollerskaes, scooters for old people/fat people...how 'bout giving pedestrian a space to walk?

If you rode a Segway to work, some of your friends would give you enormous amounts of shit.
Also, never mind the rain, what about the snow?
