From Air Force Secretary Michael Wynne:
"If we're not willing to use it here against our fellow citizens, then we should not be willing to use it in a wartime situation," said Wynne. "(Because) if I hit somebody with a nonlethal weapon and they claim that it injured them in a way that was not intended, I think that I would be vilified in the world press."
Seriously? We shouldn't use a weapon of war unless we've tried it on our own people? Holy crap. That's the stupidest thing I've heard this month. It's war, genius.
What kind of thinking has someone suggesting he'd be vilified for using a new weapon on enemies but given a pass for using it on domestic crowds? Being more worried about the foreign press than about American citizens is deranged - it's exactly backwards, and therefore irrational. I question his fitness for his post.
