Why are accused murderers allowed to hide their faces in court? What judge allows this? I've always wondered. Is there some principle of privacy law I've missed all these years, or are most of the jurists just too jaded to give a damn?
If I were a judge, you'd damn well show your face in my court.
Because they haven't been convicted of anything yet.

Yes, I know that. It doesn't matter.
No one should be in an open court with a hidden face. Not the cops, the judge, the lawyers, the spectators, the victims, or the accused.
Maybe there's case law on point; I'll check when I get a chance, but I doubt it.

Get the TV news cameras out of the courtrooms. Problem solved.
I'm more upset by the taxpayer-funded bulletproof vests that give mass-murdering scumbags the protection their victims never had.

Bruce,
Agreed on both counts.
