151-45. That seems a little weak, but I'll take it. Those 45 state reps were in favor of letting the people vote on someone's civil rights. Civil rights should not be put to a popular vote. Still, the right side won, so I guess I'm quibbling.
I hate this state sometimes. I hate the taxes. I hate the Mass Pike. I hate the corruption.
But I love the fact that we told the "family values" people, and especially Ronald Crews, to go fuck themselves.
UPDATE: if you want to see bigotry revealed, read Howie Carr's Herald column today. What a complete asshole he is; I never quite realized. (BTW, Howie, that was democracy in action - representative democracy.)
Howie has always been an asshole.
If Howie doesn't like gay marriage then he shouldn't marry a man.

Representative Democracy my ass, your court ordered your legislature in true kinglike, oligarchic fashion to pass a law. They spinelessly have not passed a law but have acquiesed to their black robed superiors and have ingnored the wishes of their constituents who are not as looney as you. the ol perfessor

perfessor, why are you so worried about other people's sex lives? Is it your latent self hating homosexuality showing?
If the unitarian church (amongst many others) recognizes same sex marriage why is this not a freedom of religion issue?
This is what a separation of church and state is all about.

ol-perfessor,
the court interpreted the constitution; that's what courts do. the people had the chance to change the constitution -through their elected representatives. they chose not to.
that's how it works.
